Renunciation of citizenship of the Russian Federation

Our agency provides services in preparing documents for renunciation of citizenship of the Russian Federation. The procedure for renouncing Russian citizenship takes from 6 months. You can renounce Russian citizenship only if you have another citizenship or confirmation of the possibility of granting another citizenship.

Documents for adults:

valid Russian passport
if available: internal passport of the Russian Federation and a document confirming deregistration at the place of residence in the Russian Federation (if there is no corresponding mark in the internal passport, a document confirming deregistration can serve as a departure address sheet, a mark in the internal passport or letter from the territorial body of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia)
ID card (residence permit)
certificate from the population register about place of residence (must be ordered from the local city government in the area)
document from the tax authority of the Russian Federation confirming the absence of tax arrears (we request it ourselves)
a document from an authorized body of a foreign state confirming that the applicant has another citizenship or confirmation of the possibility of granting the applicant another citizenship in the event of his renunciation of citizenship of the Russian Federation

Documents for children under 18 years of age:

valid foreign passport of the Russian Federation of the child
parent’s valid Russian passport and ID card
child’s birth certificate
a certificate for each parent from the population register about the place of residence (must be ordered from the local city government)
a valid foreign passport of a parent – a citizen of the Russian Federation and a copy of the page with a photo, as well as, if available, an internal passport (if issued on the territory of the Russian Federation) of a parent – a citizen of the Russian Federation and a copy of the page with a photo, a copy of the page “Place of residence”</ li>
internal passport (if issued on the territory of the Russian Federation) of the parent and child – a citizen of the Russian Federation and a copy of the page with a photo, a copy of the page “Place of residence”.
passport and residence permit of the other parent (insert in the passport or “ID-card” or “residence permit”). If the other parent is an Estonian citizen, then either a passport or an ID card is provided
notarized consent of the other parent (foreign citizen) of the child (only for children from 14 to 18 years old) to renounce their citizenship of the Russian Federation. Issued only at the consular department on Tuesday, Thursday from 10.00 to 12.00, the cost is 16 euros. Consent is certified exclusively by authorized officials of the consular department.
a document from an authorized body of a foreign state confirming that the child has another citizenship or confirmation of the possibility of granting the child another citizenship in the event of his renunciation of citizenship of the Russian Federation.

Please note that all documents not written in Russian must be translated into Russian.
